CAC-Central Australian College offers Government funded training places to students who meet the eligibility criteria.
SKILLS FIRST PROGRAM
Now is the ideal time to enroll in a course and start gaining new skills or upgrading your existing skills to increase your job opportunities. The government is creating incentives to help you get access to training and increase your employment opportunities. In 2017 you are eligible for a government subsidised training place if you:
Meet the following criteria:
- Meet one of the following Citizen/residency status:
- Australian citizen
- Australian Permanent Resident (holder of a permanent visa)
- holder of a Special Category Visa (sub-class 444, New Zealand citizen)
- holder of a Temporary Protection Visa.
- Applicant is under 20 years of age (on 1 January in the year in which the course commences); or
- Applicant seeking a Foundation Skills course
- Applicant who is an apprentice; or
- An applicant seeking a higher level qualification than the highest qualification already held
- Applicant have not commenced or not scheduled to commence more than two Government subsidized courses in 2013; or
- Are not currently undertaking training in two or more Government subsidised courses.
- Asylum Seekers (must have a referral form from the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre)
- Victims of human trafficking (must have a referral form from the Australian Red Cross)
